12:58 AM
Every year MAC Cosmetics
features some of their best sellers in an adorable packaging for their holiday collection, and this year's lineup
is totally chic and very girly with an added French flair! I recently blogged about the MAC holiday brush set, and along this year's holiday collection includes MAC Guilty Passions Cocktail Coral Lipgloss Set which I really adore!
- On the Scene Cremesheen Glass – Peach with pink and white pearl (cremesheen) It comes with a sponge applicator.
- Geo Pink Cremesheen Glass – Strawberry pink (cremesheen) It comes with a sponge applicator.
- Steppin' Out Dazzleglass -Creme Clean yellow pink with red pearl (dazzle) It comes with a brush applicator.
- Sublime Shine
Dazzleglass – Creme Light coral brown with gold pearl (creme)
It comes with a brush applicator.
You'll get 2.6 grams in each Dazzleglass and 1.9 grams in each Cremesheen Glass. Regular Dazzleglass comes in 1.92 grams and regular Cremesheen Glass is 2.4 grams. Despite these kits being "mini" you'll get more Dazzleglass gloss with this set than you would with a full-sized! Yay! That's why I always love MAC holiday collections!
MAC Guilty Passions Cocktail Coral Lipgloss Set is just perfect to give your lips a glossy lustre and sexy shimmer this holiday!
But before I end this, how about a quick makeup lesson? *wink*
What's the difference of a lip balm and a lip gloss? Lip balm is defined as a medicated ointment that can be used to soothe or resolve lip issues. While lip gloss is supposed to be - you've guessed it - glossy, to provide some gloss. Primarily, its goal is to provide an esthetically pleasing
look to the lips, which a lip balm does not provide.
So be realistic, lip gloss gives lips a smooth shimmer, it does not provide anyone with kissable cottony-soft lips. Lip balms do that and they are not shiny but it makes the lips soft and moisturized. Apply a balm over the lips first before putting on a lip gloss, this is to moisturize the lips.
Be merry, be beautiful, bisou!
