Journals and thoughts.
12:42 AM
I love exploring my
thoughts and recording my dreams, I just simply love writing down the things I
want to accomplish, the places I want to go, the things that I want to do, (and
yes, also the bags that I want to get someday. *grins*)
"When you put pen to paper
you turn your thoughts into something tangible. You can actually see it, touch
it, and even smell it if you want to. Your goal is no longer just a thought! It
becomes something, what motivates us and creates a gut feeling inside." - www.goal-setting-guide.com
Why
I have a lot? Finding a good journal is a little
bit difficult, when I see a good one I buy it! I don’t believe in LOVE at first
sight, never! But I always believed in BUY at first sight! I like everything that will
reflect my personality and fit my style. Or probably just anything cute will be
enough to make me feel excited about writing in it. (Some are gifts from
people really close to me who knows that I am a bit crazy over pens and
notebooks! These are just probably half of the journals and planners that I have. I didn't even include the StarbucksPh planners that I've collected in time.)
Do I write in every journal? No, most of these journals are blanks and no writings yet. I am currently using the three - the pink QuoVadis® for my daily schedule (workwise), the black Moleskine® for doodles and scribbles, thoughts and daydreams plus some inspirations, and the black journal with a little birdie that I got from National Bookstore 4 years ago - I call it "gratitude notebook" where I write the things that I am thankful for. (I always practice counting my blessings, it gives me happiness!)

Do I write everyday? No, I don’t oblige myself to write every day, never. I write whenever I feel like it, I write down details using my five senses, I write whenever I feel like having a conversation with my inner self. Probably strange for somebody else but it definitely works for me, it always boosts my positivity and productivity.
I think of these journals as USB key where I can save my back up files and data. It’s an extension of my memory since I only have so little space, I don't want to leave them to the chance of my fragile mind!
I always take time to remember the good memories of my life and do them
justice. Besides, nobody can write the story of my life better than me.
"If your life is worth living, it’s worth recording." - Anthony Robbins
