La Tour Eiffel, the gorgeous, the stunning, the splendid, the
fabulous, the dazzling, the superbe, the brilliant, ok I am running out of
words to describe her (yes, the eiffel tower is a she), but one thing I know, she's my favorite parisienne. She is oozing at any time of the day, at any season!

The Eiffel Tower, or La Tour Eiffel with a french nickname La dame de fer, or the the iron lady. It was built for the International Exhibition of Paris of 1889 commemorating the centenary of the French Revolution. Eiffel Tower construction began on January 28, 1887 and took more than two years to complete. The tower was inaugurated on March 31, 1889 and served as an entrance arc for the World Exhibition. With its original height, the Eiffel Tower took its place in history by being the tallest building in the world until 1930. Gustave Eiffel, a French structural engineer and architect specialized in metallic structures, was the brain behind its construction. Measurements: The tower stands 1,050 feet (320 meters) tall, about the same height as an 81-story building.
